About this project

De Acá is a nice little café in San José. The old building that they’re housed in already makes them worth a visit. I loved the interior and the view that the top level gives you over the neighborhood. Not to mention their homemade, delicious cakes…

The photoshoot I did here only took a little more than an hour, but was very successful nonetheless. The light on this particular day was gorgeous: it was cloudy and sunny at the same time. This gave us the opportunity to get some perfect shots. If you’re ever around, order ‘The Mudéjar’, a drink you will find on the menu under ‘Bebidas Frutales’. It’s pure bliss.

About De Acá

The neighborhood ‘Barrio Amon’ in San José is well-known for its old architecture. It’s in one of those pretty buildings around there that you will find De Acá. This quite young shop-and-café (opened in 2017) has quickly become a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. On the first floor is a little shop. Head up the spiral staircase to go to the café, which offers you a tremendous view of the neighborhood.
