I’ve been working together with Appeltje Eitje since November 2019. After a fun first chat I sat together with Nigel, the owner, to figure out the strategy for now and the foreseeable future. Appeltje Eitje is a well-known café in the area, or lunchroom, depending on what you’d like to call it. It has quite an innovative menu with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Healthy, delicious, but nothing boring.
We’d like to argue that Appeltje Eitje might very well just serve the best food in the area, especially for lunch and breakfast, and it has, without a doubt, a very particular feeling to it. It truly feels like a second living room. But how were we going to communicate this authentic, a little eccentric vibe to the outside world, through social media?
Eventually we came to the idea of creating an ‘Appeltje Eitje circus’. It’s like a family of circus nomads, the place itself and its staff. They’re not weird, but they are themselves, and can’t be categorized into a certain box. And that’s just what Appeltje Eitje wants for its visitors: to be themselves, to feel welcomed and to enjoy truly amazing food.
So Tremento now takes care of the social media channels of Appeltje Eitje, translating the strategy set up in the workshop to content, which ranges from specifically created graphic design templates to photography, GIFs and videos.
